Join us for our regular HPCP Annual Meeting, Wednesday, May 22, 7 pm –  at Quaker House, 5615 S. Woodlawn Avenue.  Oedipus! The Musical! triumphantly concluded, we will celebrate our 2012-13 season, look forward to the summer and to our next season, elect Board members, and play theater games. Join us in putting the community into community theater.

We opened May 3rd and closed May 19 and left ‘em laughing at every performance.  Congratulations to cast, crew, author John Poole, and director  Clyde Compton, and thanks to our partners in comedy, the UChicago Classical Entertainment Society.  Our first homegrown major production, our first musical, a peripatetic marvel.  Great show, guys!

Who are we?

We are a not-for-profit, all-volunteer group dedicated to creating and nurturing vital community theater in the greater Hyde Park, Chicago neighborhood.  We are always happy to welcome new people who would like to join us in our planning, our activities, and our productions. We emphasize genuine engagement in the project of creating both community and theater.  Active members commit to working on the implementation and the promotion of each HPCP production.
