The Lover
by Harold Pinter
Directed by Rosina Neginsky
Featuring: Ron Chaffetz, Rosina Neginsky, Scott Malpass, Laura MacGregor and Adam Hammond.
Written in 1962, this serio-comic play contrasts domesticity with sexual yearning in a very odd love triangle. Pinter leads the audience to believe that there are three characters in the play: the wife, the husband and the lover. But is the lover actually a different man, or simply a different character? And how many roles do both spouses play in this surprising marriage? The evening’s reading will also include bonus scenes from another Harold Pinter play about infidelity, Betrayal.
The reading is followed by home made treats and a moderated discussion.
Parking is available in the church lot.
Admission is $5 at the door.
