Directed by Oroki Rice, it’s an interracial love story set in 1918. There is a war in Europe, and a smaller war in South Carolina, where an African-American seamstress and a white German-American baker have a long-time affair. Disapproval from neighbors and family, as well as South Carolina’s laws prohibiting interracial marriage, makes it increasingly hard for them to stay together. $5
