AUDITIONS for An Evening of Horror and Suspense 2022

September 21, 2022 Leave a Comment

AUDITIONS for An Evening of Horror and Suspense 2022

directed by Laura MacGregor

Auditions will be held in Classroom 1 (upstairs) at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 South Woodlawn):

September 24, 2:00-5:00pm

September 28, 6:00-9:00pm

Performances of An Evening of Horror and Suspense 2022 will take place October 21 & 22 at the University Church.

The HPCP calls on all fans of suspenseful stories, weird tales, and things that go bump in the night to come out and audition for our lucky thirteenth annual Evening of Horror and Suspense! We present spooky radio plays before a live audience, accompanied by a sound effects team. To complete the classic radio atmosphere, we include Messages From Our Sponsors and musical interludes. The rehearsal period lasts about 4 weeks. Most actors will rehearse once or twice a week.

Actors read from scripts on stage, so there is no memorization. All are welcome to audition. No experience is necessary, and there is no need to prepare. Auditions are drop-in; come when you want to and stay as long as you like.

What To Expect at an HPCP Audition

Note that Saturday, 24 falls during the JazzFest and that parking will be difficult near Augustana.
