FRIDAY STAGED READING: Love, Loss & What I Wore by Nora Ephron & Delia Ephron

August 1, 2017 Leave a Comment

This Friday, August 4, we’ll perform a staged reading from Love, Loss and What I Wore at 8 pm at Augustana Church (5500 S Woodlawn.)

The show is directed by Laura MacGregor, and features the acting talents of Vanessa Ellis, Maryse Meijer, Oroki Rice, Barbara Lyons, Meara Hammond, Kimberly Shaw, Liz Horne and Dusty Trellis.  $5 covers the 1 hour reading, followed by home baked goodies and a moderated discussion.
The late, great Nora Ephron, most famous for her screenplays, (When Harry Met Sally, Julia & Julia, etc.) collaborated with her sister Delia to adapt the book by Ilene Beckerman for the stage.  In a series of monologues and scenes, a group of women describe articles of clothing, then share the memories and stories they evoke. It’s hilarious and frequently moving.  We suspect you will be inspired to share stories of your own!
