Auditions: An Evening of Horror & Suspense (9/17), Rashomon (9/10-11)

September 1, 2017 Leave a Comment

Auditions have been scheduled for our fall shows! All auditions listed below will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 S. Blackstone Avenue). If you have never auditioned for a mainstage show before, you might enjoy What To Expect At An HPCP Audition.

Rashomon by Fay Kanin and Michael Kanin, based on stories by Ryunosuke Akutagawa

Directed by Bill Hohnke

Auditions:
Sunday, September 10, 2-5pm, upstairs
Monday, September 11, 6-9pm, Sanctuary

The wife of a Samurai officer is assaulted and her husband killed by a roving bandit. Contradictory versions of what happened are reenacted at the trial by the bandit, the wife and the dead husband who speaks through a medium. It’s a powerful exploration of the meaning of truth.

An Evening of Horror and Suspense
Directed by Shonte Wesson
Auditions:
Sunday, September 17, 4-7pm, upstairs
The HPCP continues its annual Halloween tradition with another anthology of tales of HORROR…and suspense! Actors bring spine-tingling old-time radio plays to life, accompanied by live sound effects. An Evening of Horror and Suspense is a great way to get involved with the HPCP. No memorization is required.
An Evening of Horror and Suspense will take place on October 21, 2017 at Augustana Lutheran Church.
