Join us on Friday, March 4, 8 pm, for the first act of an original musical
#MonteCristo2020
Isolating in her apartment during the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic, a lonely bookworm discovers Alexandre Dumas’s novel The Count of Monte Cristo. The classic novel of adventure, intrigue, and revenge comes to life around her, immersing her in an exciting new world and a story which hits surprisingly close to home. #MonteCristo2020 expresses the pain of loss and isolation while celebrating the resilience of hope and the sustaining power of stories. Written by Susan Harris with music composed by William Hohnke, #MonteCristo2020 is a work in progress; we will stage most of Act I. With Leslie Halverson as the Isolator and Eric Hohnke as Edmund Dantes; also featuring: Paul Baker, Leslie Browne, Adam Hammond, Zoe Harris, Callie Heinz, Dan Heinz, Michele Heinz, Bill Hohnke, BJ Hohnke, Aidan MacGregor, and Amelia Snoblin.
At Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S. Woodlawn Avenue. Proof of vaccination and masking of non-performers required. $5 at the door.
