Our Eighth Annual Evening of HORROR and SUSPENSE!

October 9, 2017 Leave a Comment

Tickets are on sale now for our eighth annual Evening of Horror and Suspense!

October 21, 2017 at 7pm at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 South Woodlawn Ave)

Buy tickets: $10 in advance, $12 at the door

This year’s Evening of Horror and Suspense is directed by Shonte Wesson and features four spine-tingling 20 minute plays from the golden age of radio:

Valse Triste, by Arch Oboler (Lights Out, March 30, 1938)
Two young women seek shelter in an abandoned house…and face a terrible choice between two terrible fates.
Evening Primrose, based on the short story by John Collier (Escape, November 5, 1947)
An aspiring poet decides to live in a large department store. After the lights go out, he discovers he’s not alone.
The Flame, by Arch Oboler (Lights Out, March 23, 1943)
Some people say a flame is nothing more than a chemical reaction. Those people are wrong.
The Raven, based on the poem by Edgar Allan Poe
And this year, we’re doing early trick or treat! If you come in costume, you get a goodie bag. If you don’t have a costume, come as you are!
