On July 6 the Staged Reading series premieres Part 2 of an original musical:
MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S SCREAM

Midsummer Night’s Scream transforms Midsummer Night’s Dream into the tale of a Chicago ghost tour gone awry on a moonlit night rife with revenge, magic, and star-crossed lovers. A two-part musical tale reminiscent of Shakespeare in the Park. In this case…Jackson Park and a couple of other spooky Chicago locales. Part One premiered June 1; Part Two premieres July 6.
Performances begin at 8 pm, Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S Woodlawn.
$5 admission includes home-baked treats and a moderated discussion after the reading.
