Wild About Wilde
Salome & other less commonly-staged works of Oscar Wilde
Directed by Laura MacGregor
Friday, September 11, 7:30 pm
Audiences are likely more familiar with Oscar Wilde’s witty comedies, but his writing was prolific and varied, including different styles of plays, poems, essays, novels and even fairy tales. Laura MacGregor directs a staged reading featuring some less well-known pieces by Oscar Wilde, including his symbolist play, Salome, a tragedy in verse and a couple of poems.
The reading will be followed by refreshments and a chance to talk with director and actors, $5 at the door.
At Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S, Woodlawn Ave.
